hello, i am new to nocol. i liked you approach to network monitoring.
btw, i am using nocol-4.3. i was able to compile it and get it running
without any major problems except with the portmon tool.
here is my configuration file:
POLLINTERVAL 600
TIMEOUT 30
SIMULCONNECTS 64
HOST mail 10.0.1.20 SMTPport 25 Critical HELO jabber
info 250
QUIT quit

HOST mail 10.0.1.20 WWWport 80 Critical GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n

when i run portmon -d i get this output:
(portmon).. locked pid-file, started new process

but when i do a
telnet 10.0.1.20 25

what could be wrong?
