     standalone bug 
I noticed that I get these messages when a pidfile is empty (I dunno how
that happens but it does)...

(standalone): fscanf /usr/local/nocol/run/ippingmon.pid: Undefined error: 
0
ippingmon: Error in standalone...exiting

not a big deal (just delete the pidfile), but if you reboot and have an
empty pidfile, some monitors never start (I noticed this from ippingmon)
